The Mystery of My Stolen Lingerie

I've been meaning to write a blog for ages but never really got down to it till today. What happened to me for the past 2 months plus is really too weird (refer to the title of my blog) not to share with others so here I am blogging away hoping to sound like a pro :p

Well, it all started on one fine Sunday morning as I was preparing to go to church. I felt like wearing new lingerie that day. ( I bought 2 new sets recently) I went to my "open" cupboard (the doors have fallen apart, Lol) and lo and behold to my disbelief my new lingerie was missing! I rubbed my eyes thinking I must still be dreaming or something and opened my eyes wider but still no lingerie. Puzzled, I searched everywhere else inside the cupboard thinking it must have fallen off the hanger or something but to no avail. So I alerted my parents and the look on both of their faces were priceless after I related the incident to them.

On the way to church we were trying to solve the mystery and finally concluded that one of my parents' students (they give home tuition) must have sneaked to my room (I usually leave it unlocked) and stole them. But who would do such a thing? A pervert? I suspected a girl student because the stolen lingerie was brand new. I thought maybe she liked my lingerie so much because I do happen to have very good taste. Ha ha. Daddy dearest then changed the lock on my door and from that day onwards (16 July 2008 to be exact) my room door has been kept locked.

The very next day, my dad was trying to fix his China satellite dish in time for the very much anticipated 080808 Olympics when he found 1 bra of my missing bras' and 2 pieces of my underwear. (also new which I didn't realise was missing too) Have you guessed where that "weirdo" threw my stolen lingerie? Yup, on my roof top. Talk about weird. I figured he or she must have asked to go to the toilet on false pretense then went to my room to steal my lingerie, hid it in the toilet (there is a window right above the toilet seat) and the stolen lingerie must have fell out in the process because they were still 1 bra and 2 underwears unaccounted for. Oh, I forgot to mention that that person also got away with my new yellow bikini (specially bought from KK) which I was going to wear on the next weekend. How annoying.

Anyway, weeks went by without any more developments and the "case" was left unsolved. I was still grieving over my losses but oh well, no use crying over spilled milk right? Wrong. Just 2 weeks ago, the lingerie stealer striked again and this time my whole collection of new underwear (10 to 15 pieces) were ravished despite my door being locked. Also missing were my cheongsam which was custom made for my sister's wedding and a lacy top. Only God knows how this desperado got into my room. I was again at a loss for words and really really upset :(

On the 19th of September, God answered my prayer. My aunt caught one of my mum's student waltzing out of my parents' room. He apparently went inside to look for soap as he usually baths before going to school after his tuition on Friday mornings. He became the prime suspect but denied when confronted. In his own words, "Why would I wanna steal girls' lingerie?" My dad then asked his dad to look on top of their roof top as he might have threw them out like the first time in my house and guess what? BINGO. The mum then offered to wash all of the stolen goods and return them to me. Finally I thought. At least the case is solved.

Yesterday when I went home during lunch time my mum asked me to go through the returned goods. I did. NONE OF THEM WERE MINE. There were about 10 bras' and 15 underwears. He must have stolen them from someone else or from around his neighborhood. When confronted why he said that he feels that it's very exciting to steal girls' lingerie. And he told my mum he threw away my beautiful cheongsam. WTF. Talk about living in a perverted world. Unbelievable? Believe it!
